Natural stone, ceramic and other types of tile can be slippery, especially when wet. An anti-slip floor or surface treatment in wet areas can greatly reduce the the possibility of a slip and fall accident in your home or business.
Wet areas are not just pool surrounds or kitchen and bath areas. They can also be entrance areas that get wet from foot traffic coming in out of the rain or snow, or walkways that lead to or from a pool, fountain or other water feature. What about a floor that has just been mopped but isn’t all the way dry or a liquid that gets spilled in a hallway that isn’t yet mopped up yet? Do you have an area that is prone to baby or pet accidents or do you have a place outside that puddles up in the rain and runs over your patio?
However, don’t just think about anti-slip treatments for wet areas. Dry areas can benefit as well. The soles of some shoes can be very slippery. What about the person that walks through something outside that sticks to their shoes and unknowingly creates a slip hazard for themselves or someone else? What about a grill area that is prone to dripping grease and food?
